Introduction to the Technology of Gasification
Applied by Xinwen Mining Group Co., Ltd.

The coal gasification underground means production of flammable gas resulting from the partial burning of coal underground, which is a new technology of developing clean energy and chemical material.
In the year 1999, cooperated with China Mining University, an industrial experiment of coal gasification underground was carried out in Suncun Coal Mine of Xinwen Mining Group Co., Ltd. On 31 March, 2003, a gasification station was established, which produces gas with heat value of 2000kcal/m3 or so, successfully used in household consuming, industrial boiler burning and power generation.
After the successful experiment of gasification station in Suncun Coal Mine, another two stations were set up in Xiezhuang Coal Mine and Ezhuang Coal Mine respectively in April 2001 and February 2002. Now, the three station produce gas of 200,000 m3 daily, with heat value of 1600-2400kca/m3.
It is estimated that the daily output of gas of Xinwen Mining Group will reach 500,000 m3 by the year 2005, and gas turbine generator set with capacity of 5000 kW and synthetic dimethylether project will be constructed. By the year 2008, the daily output of gas will reach 1,000,000 m3, so Xinwen Mining Group will be turned into a new high-tec enterprise integrated coal gasification, power generation with gas and coal chemical into its own body.
Introduction to cooling with ice project in Suncun Coal Mine

After the complete research by authority experts of cooling technology at home and abroad, the cooling with ice project was put into operation on June 15, 2004 in Suncun Coal Mine. Applied the most advanced international cooling technology, it embodies the development thought of “making ice on ground and cooling underground”. Now, a research and development base of cooling technology in coal mine, including design, production, technical guide and installation and commissioning of equipment has been established in Suncun Coal Mine.
Suncun Coal Mine, a large modernized mine with capacity of 1.5 million tons, is a typical mine in the country suffering the high temperature, and also one of the deepest coal mines in the country, with vertical depth of over 1300m. In summer, the temperature of inlet of working face is 31 ℃ , the wind temperature of driving working face is 30-33 ℃ , and the average temperature is over 96%.
This technology was first applied on two working face and six driving face of Suncun Coal Mine, and through comprehensive cooling in various ways, it is measured that the average temperature of working face can be lowered by 5-7 ℃ , among which, the inlet temperature of 2421 extraction working face has been lowered to 24 ℃ from 31, the temperature of upper head has been lowered to 27 ℃ and the temperature of outlet has been lowered to under 28 ℃ . This technology can be used for large-area cooling underground due to its advantages of good adaptability and full application of the potential of ice. Through innovation of phase-two project, the scale of ice-making will be raised to over 1000 tons/day from current 500 tons/day.
The successful application of the technology of cooling with ice underground not only solved the bottle-net problem of mining in deep shaft which suffered high temperature and ensured health of workers, but also provides a strong technical support for mining in deep shaft of the country in the future. |
